Recover lost or forgotten passwords to ZIP, ARJ, RAR, ACE archives
Advanced Archive Password Recovery (or ARCHPR for short) can be used to recover lost or forgotten
passwords to ZIP (PKZip, WinZip), ARJ/WinARJ, RAR/WinRAR (versions from 2.0 to 2.8) and ACE/WinACE
(1.x) archives. At the moment, there is no known method to extract the password from such compressed
files, so the only available methods are "brute force" and dictionary attacks (for ARJ and ZIP formats,
known-plaintext attack is also available).

- PKZip 4.0 archives (with digital signatures and deflate64 compression method) are supported

- The program can work with archives containing only one encrypted file only (at the same speed)

- The program is customizable: you can set the password length (or length range), the character set to be used to generate the passwords, and a lot of other options
- You can select the custom character set for brute-force attack (non-English characters are supported)

- The "brute-force with mask" attack is available
- The maximum password length is not limited (there are some practical limitations, though)
- No special virtual memory requirements
- You can interrupt the program at any time, and restart from the same point later
- The program can work in the background, using the CPU only when it is in idle state
In fact, ARCHPR accumulates all the features of
Advanced ZIP Password Recovery and
Advanced RAR Password Recovery, can also break password-protected ACE 1.x and ARJ archives, and supports
Guaranteed WinZip attack, not available in Advanced ZIP Password Recovery
